As someone who is a very loyal fan of Robert Kirkmans I have
followed this case rather closely. The case was simple, Micheal “Tony” Moore
claimed he owned half the writes to The Walking Dead as he is a previous co
worker of Robert Kirkmans. I remember when I first heard of this case I found
it very silly as Tony Moore is indeed a former co-worker, he left Robert
Kirkman and all his titles previous to The Walking Dead becoming a hit tv show.
To me is seemed that Tony Moore was just upset he left before Robert Kirkman
made a hit and that Tony Moore just wanted some of that money. Recently however
they both announced that they settled the case to “mutual benefit” though they
both say they will not be discussing the terms of the settlement, so It seems
as though Tony Moore will be getting some of The Walking Dead’s money. I
suppose it is fair as he did work with Robert Kirkman on pervious projects,
thought I am not sure how much work he put into said projects I however am sure
that he did not put in near as much work as Kirkman and claiming that he owns
part of the rights is still very ridiculous to me. Though is seems Robert
Kirkman feels Tony Moore deserves something as he did settle out of court with
him of course we will never really know what Tony Moore got from this deal as
they have stated they won’t talk about it publicly. I am happy to find that the
case is closed and that Robert Kirkman can move on with his life and hopefully
Tony Moore won’t come back to bother him about any more rights he claims to be
entitled too. With this case settled I am glad Robert Kirkman can put this in
his past and clear his mind to work on The Walking dead and his many comic
titles in peace. As someone who is a very loyal fan of Robert Kirkmans I have
