I read the article 4 reasons 3D movies aren’t just a fad and
I found it interesting. The article made many good points about 3D and how it
is a rising field with in the film industry. I personally love 3D films and
find them to be highly enjoyable; whenever 3D is an option I will also go for
it because I consider it to be fun to watch. As mentioned in the article the
technology to make 3D films is become easier to access and easier to use as
most companies are filtering into their post-production studios. The article
also mentions that 3D films are starting to get better box office it is a slow
process but it is happening. True often times the 3D films can take a small hit
in the box office but that can easily be attributed to the fact that they are
more expensive and the economy isn’t doing to great right now. As I mentioned
before I enjoy 3D films, the only negative I have ever had to them is that so
many films that don’t really need to be put in 3D are being made that way, in
my opinion if the film is not CG or action heavy there really is no need or
reason for it to be put into 3D. However there could be a very logical reason
for that because one reason 3D is on the rise that the article did not mention
is that 3D films are big movie companies attempt to get more people into the
theater, with piracy being something so easy to do in modern days, these big
film companies are trying to find ways to lure audiences into the theater by
giving them something they can not see on their television or computer screens
and 3D is (at least right now) considered to be the perfect lure, as it is
something you can only get when you go to a movie theater.
